The Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department is offering a large variety of summer programming for ages 3 through 18 that includes fitness, mountain biking, soccer, volleyball, cross country, and more!

D-1 Fitness Camp, Session 1

Description: The D-1 Fitness Camp (formerly known as “All Sports Camp”) is being instructed by the D-1 Training staff who specialize in the proper training of movement necessary for a variety of athletic endeavors. Instructors will use fun and creative methods to work on strength, speed, agility, and conditioning that can be used for a variety of sports. Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothes, and bring a snack and a water bottle.

Description: Campers will experience the outdoor world around them. Campers should expect to get dirty while exploring the woods surrounding Oconee Veterans Park. Activities include tree climbing (using a rope, harness and helmet), wilderness survival, and natural habitat exploration where we dig deep into the world of creepy crawly, slithery and slimy (including insects, plants and wildlife). Led by Jody Rice, Executive Director of Wild Rice Adventures. Campers should wear comfortable clothing, sneakers/hiking boots and bring a snack and water bottle

Description: This camp will be a fast paced, fun learning environment for those interested in the sport of distance running.
