Dancefx Athens is a not for profit dance organization, dedicated to providing continuing dance education and performance opportunities to the Athens community that offers youth classes from age 2 through teen. We believe in an environment of support, community, and growth for all of our dancers.

2024 SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE |
Superstar Debut
with Catherine Huff
Ages 2-3
6/3-6/5, 9am-11am
$90 for the 3 days
Is your little one twirling around the house? Wondering if they are ready for a dance class? Introduce them to movement and class structure in this short 3 day camp. Mrs.Catherine is the best and can’t wait to work with your little one :)
Technique Intensive
with Kaitlin Butcher and Mallory Ware
Ages 6-11
6/3-6/7, 10am-2pm
$225 for the week
A super dose of strengthening, flexibility, and technique training in the ballet, jazz, and tap styles by Youth Program Director, Kaitlin Butcher. Dancers must have previous dance training.
If your dancer is currently in Junior or Petite Company OR is interested in joining our company program, this is a great camp for them!
Platform 9 3/4 Camp
with Catherine Huff
Ages 6-11
6/10-6/14, 10am-2pm
$225 for the week
ACCIO Witches and Wizards! Hogwarts may be closed for summer break, but aspiring witches and wizards can come to Camp 9 3/4. Simply take any muggle vehicle to the Dancefx Castle for a week of dance and crafts inspired by the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
Campers will be sorted into houses at the start of the week, and will be able to earn house points with games and challenges straight from the wizarding world.
Ballet Intensive
with Allison Smith and special guest instructors
Ages 12+
6/10-6/14, 10am-4pm
$275 for the week
Enhance your ballet training with classical variations, in-depth ballet vocabulary, intensive technique, and performance. Students must have previous ballet experience.
PreK Princess and Prince Camp
with Harlee Meyerowitz
Ages 3-5
6/17-6/21 and 7/15-7/19, 9am-12:30pm
$200 for the week
Each morning is full of princess costumes, games, crafts, and DANCE with excellent instruction, sweet songs, and fun memories to take home. Dancers learn important social skills while enriching activities and developing motor skills.
Campers will enjoy a surprise visit from a real Princess!
Choreography Intensive
with Kaitlin Butcher and Mallory Ware
Ages 6-11
6/17-6/21, 10am-2pm
$225 for the week
A super-dose of fantastic choreography in the jazz, tap, contemporary, and Hip Hop styles by Youth Program Director, Kaitlin Butcher, culminating in a final performance. Dancers must have previous dance training.
If your dancer is currently in Junior or Petite Company OR is interested in joining our company program, this is a great camp for them!
PreK Trolls Camp
with Mallory Ware
Ages 3-5
6/24-6/28, 9am-12:30pm
$200 for the week
Get ready to sing, dance, and high five, TROLLS STYLE! Wear your sparkliest attire and get ready to party and explore the meaning of friendship.
Super Hero Camp
with Catherine Huff
Ages 3-5
7/8-7/12, 9am-12:30pm
$200 for week
This week, we will explore the superpowers of love, kindness, peacefulness, hard work, and determination. Come join your friends as we sing, dance, craft, and explore the things that make us SUPER! At the end of the week, friends and family are invited to share in a small performance by the cutest caped crusaders in town. We look forward to seeing you there!
Swag Camp
with Andie Richardson
Ages 6-11
7/8-7/12, 10am-2pm
$225 for the week
Learn how to keep the beat and Sweat, Werk, and Groove your way through the most popular hip hop jams. SWAG Camp ends with a performance at the studio for friends and family. For an extra BONUS, campers will be featured in a mini music video!
The video will be emailed out once the camp is finished for everyone to enjoy.
Musical Theatre Camp
with TBD
Ages 6-11
7/15-7/19, 10am-2pm
$225 for the week
Acting, dancing, singing, improv, and MORE! Young entertainers will find everything they need to foster a love for the stage and polish their performance skills. Participants will work throughout the week for a final day performance based on Broadway's finest at 1:30pm on Friday.
If your dancer is currently in StageFX OR is interested in our StageFX program, this is a great camp for them!
Choreography Intensive
with Kaitlin Butcher and surprise guest choreographers
Ages 12+
7/22-7/26, 10am-4pm
$275 for the week
A super-dose of fantastic choreography by head Dancefx instructors culminated in a final performance at the end of the week. Dancers must have previous dance training. If your dancer is currently in FX company OR is interested in trying out for one of our three FX companies, this is a great camp for them!

Dancefx is proud to offer as many scholarships as possible, awarded based on financial need. Scholarships are limited and are not available for all Dancefx programs and activities.
