Fall is always an exciting time at Athens Academy! October officially kicks off our admission season, with some fun events and opportunities for prospective families.
On Friday, October 18, we invite you to join us for our Preschool Ride the Slide event, where preschoolers and their parents can enjoy a morning on our playground interacting with our students, faculty, and administrators.
That same day, students in rising grades 1-4 are invited to spend the morning with a buddy as part of Bring a Friend to School Day. Children get a chance to meet our teachers, see what our students are learning, experience the Spartan community, and make new friends!

On November 14, we host our first admission session with the Preschool & Grade 1 Open House for parents of prospective students in K3 through first grade. You’ll learn about the admission process and hear from current parents and administrators, followed by a tour to see our students and faculty in action!

Preschool Ride the Slide - Friday, October 18
Ride the Slide is a fun, casual event for children and their parents on the Harrison Center for Arts and Preschool playground. Children have the opportunity to play with current Athens Academy preschoolers while parents meet teachers and administrators. We encourage children to visit recess with their peer group and rising K3 students (children who turn 3 by September 1, 2020) to attend the K3 recess.
K3 - 11:05 a.m.

Lower School Bring a Friend - Friday, October 18 / 8:10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Your child is invited to spend the day with us! This event provides a preview of the 1st -4th student experience at Athens Academy. Visiting students are paired with children their age and based on similar interests. Or, if your child knows a current Athens Academy student, we will do our best to pair accordingly! The morning begins at 8:10 a.m. in Barrett Hall and ends at 12:30 p.m. after the children enjoy a complimentary pizza lunch. Tours for parents will be offered after morning drop-off and begin in Barrett Hall.

K3-1st Grade Open House - Thursday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m.
This parent-only event is a great way to dig a little deeper into the Athens Academy experience. Guests will meet and hear from a panel of current parents and faculty and tour our facilities. Tours are conducted in grade-level groups and parents are encouraged to observe the classrooms and ask questions.
